Amway is an American direct-sales Company founded in 1959 by Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel whose full form is American Way. Amway  follows Network Marketing Structure but their is rather more business is based on direct-sales. Amway is always considered as Pyramid Scheme. In India in year 2006, a public complaint in Andra Pradesh about Amway to CID that initiated raids and seize against Amway distributors in the State. They claiming that Amway is violating the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Scheme (banning) Act. They had closed all the corporate offices which were associated with Amway organization. There were lot of judiciary acted on it and Amway was completely banned and they seized products which valued about 2.14 Crore rupees. 

Kerala Police's crime branch arrested William S. Pinkney with Managing Director and CEO of the Amway India. They have also were in judisicial custody but they were granted bail the next day.

The success in Amway is based on their personal sales than on building an organisation. The Amway offers home care products, jewelry, personal care products, Nutrilite dietary supplements, electronics, water purifiers, insurance, air purifiers and cosmetics. Forbes reported that Amway is the 25th number of comapy in United States in year 2012.
